The Stephen A. Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities will bring the humanities faculties together under one roof for the first time in the University's history "in a space designed to encourage experiential learning and bold experimentation through cross-disciplinary and collaborative study". The building will also house the Institute for Ethics in AI which has already established a reputation for rigorous curiosity about the ethical implications of AI from diverse perspectives.
Alongside a new humanities library, modern teaching and research spaces, and state-of-the-art performance areas, the Faculty of Philosophy will also be moving to this new home. Fantastic progress has been made in the Centre's construction since it began in early 2023, with completion scheduled for Michaelmas 2025.
More information can be found on the Schwarzman Centre's website, and updates will be posted here as they become available.
